Phil Whitfield, Senior Forest Manager
Phil graduated from Bangor University in 1988 and has enjoyed a varied career in forestry: from contractor to forest manager roles, overseas development, international forest certification and latterly forest recreation specialist. Phil brings over thirty years of experience with the Forestry Commission/ Enterprise/ Forestry and Land Scotland, in roles from Operations and Marketing to Forest District Manager in Moray, to National Visitor Services Manager. He has a keen interest and experience in restocking practice, new woodland creation, thinning and restructuring.
Looking for a new challenge and to get back to his roots, Phil joined Tilhill, North Highland in March 2021. He’s thoroughly enjoying working with clients and contractors across a range of properties in north east Scotland.
