We believe that the valuation of forest property is core to effective decision making, particularly for forests held as investments.
Our Forestry Investment Team provide specialist advice and thorough, well researched justification of value through our extensive market knowledge and datasets. Regular valuations are particularly important in a fast-moving market when capital values can change significantly from year to year.
We offer national coverage through our network of offices – from Caithness to Cornwall.

The nature of valuation instructions varies according the purpose of the valuation, the clients requirements, and the nature of the land or forest forming the subject of the instruction.
Clients require valuations for a variety of purposes – typically for probate, for tax planning or as part of a portfolio valuation exercise.
An initial discussion is required to ascertain the purpose of the woodland valuation and background data on the woodland. Following this, background research is completed and the property is inspected by one of our team. Factors affecting the final valuation are noted and included in the report.
The draft report is discussed with the client before the final report is issued.
