David Hardie, Senior Forest Manager
After leaving the Royal Navy Submarine Service in 1988, David went to Edinburgh University and studied Ecology with Forestry Honours. He joined Shotton Forest Management in 1992, working in Wales and the south of Scotland as a Graduate Trainee and Assistant Forest Manager.
In 1996 he became a Chartered Forester and Forest Manager in the south and south west of Scotland. When Shotton and Tilhill merged in 1997, David continued to work in the Scottish Borders and the south west of Scotland as a Forest Manager, Assistant District Manager and Contract Manager.
In 1999 he left Tilhill to become Head Forester at Bedford Estates, Woburn returning to Tilhill in 2010 in the North Highland region, working in Aberdeenshire and the Scottish Highlands as a Senior Forest Manager.In his spare time, David is a keen yacht sailor.
