Ben Reid MSc, BSc, Forest Manager
Ben joined Tilhill in 2022 after moving from 3 years working in smallholder forestry in Kenya. Ben has a BSc in Ecological Sciences and an MSc in Ecosystem Services from the University of Edinburgh, as well as completing an MSc in Forestry at Bangor. The transition from smallholder, tropical forestry to the UK has been a big shift, but Ben hopes to bring the learning and innovations from his time in East Africa to the Scottish Highlands.
Ben works in the West Highland team, covering the area in and around Fort William, where he enjoys making the best of the landscape around him in his free time. Ben is passionate about managing safe, sustainable, and contextualised forest management that is suited to client and landscape.
