Archie Bird BSc, Forest Manager
Archie graduated Harper Adams University in 2019 with a BSc Honours in Countryside and Environmental Management, during this time he developed particular skills in habitat surveying, monitoring, species identification and management. Archie initially pursued a career in Ecological Consultancy. After a number of years working on ecological management projects across England and Wales and achieving multiple protected species licenses, he moved industry into forestry. Archie initially worked as a tree planting contractor on commercial restock and woodland creation projects in Argyll. Since gaining operational understanding in commercial restocking and experiencing Tilhill from a contractor’s perspective, he joined Tilhill on the graduate development programme in late spring 2021. Archie is now Forest Manager in our West Highland North Team.
Archie is an Associate Member of Institute of Chartered Foresters and is currently working towards his full membership
