Winners of the Autumn Forester’s Golf Society

James Penfold of Penfolds Woodland Management took the individual honours and won the Beacon Bowl Trophy at the Autumn Foresters’ Golf Society meeting held at Whiteleaf Golf Club, Buckinghamshire on Thursday, 4th October 2018. On a glorious autumnal day for golf James had a winning score of 43 Stableford points. In 2nd place was Iwan Parry of Tilhill Forestry with 36 points closely followed by Mike Bentley on 35 points.

A ‘nearest the pin’ competition was held for two of the holes with James Penfold winning on the 5th hole and John Lockhart on the 14th hole. Both played fine tee shots.

The team event was won by Jon Rose (Forestry Consultant), Dougal Driver (Grown in Britain) and James Penfold.

The Foresters’ Golf Society is open to anyone with a forestry interest – owners, managers, agents, contractors, timber merchants, surveyors, accountants etc. The next event is scheduled to be at Wellingborough in Spring of next year with the Autumn Golf Day at Whiteleaf Golf Club in Buckinghamshire planned for Thursday 3rd October 2019.
