‘What’s Next for Woodland?’

Join us as we unveil the latest results of our forestry investment review, as part of the launch of The UK Forest Market Report themed around: ‘What’s Next for Woodlands?’.

The launch events take place on 23rd November in London and 24th November in Edinburgh at 11.00 am. An online livestream is also available on 23rd November.

The event will explore the main factors driving growth in forestry values and consider what the future might hold for both commercial forestry investors and buyers more focused on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) or natural capital considerations.

It will not only feature a detailed review of this year’s forestry investment activity, but, for the first time, will also include transaction data on the planting land market.

We will also be hearing from a variety of speakers, from a range of backgrounds, including investment management and the science of forestry. All will be talking about trees and the role they play in creating a cleaner, greener, low-carbon economy.

Each year Tilhill, the UK’s leading forestry company, and John Clegg & Co (the forestry division of Strutt & Parker), jointly publish the ‘The UK Forest Market Report’. The report provides an in-depth study of the UK forestry market from an investor perspective, both buying and selling. It has been produced since 1998 and is considered to be the most comprehensive publicly available record of forestry transactions in the UK.

The report covers:

  • The Buyer’s Perspective
  • The Seller’s Perspective
  • In-depth Analysis of the Forestry Investment Market Results
  • Commercial Forest Values
  • Planting Land Insights
  • Standing Timber Values
  • The Factors Influencing Woodland Carbon Prices
  • The Role of Nature Based Solutions
  • What Future is the Forest Growing?
