Tilhill’s Senior Management Team Strengthens Further

Tilhill is delighted to announce the appointment of two Forestry Regional Managers, together with the newly created position of Head of Landscaping, all having been filled as a result of promotion from within the Company.

The recently announced appointments Tilhill made relating to its Board of Directors resulted in Regional Manager vacancies to fill. The Company ethos to recruit from within means that two Area Managers have been successful in further progressing their careers. David Conway will be filling the role of Regional Manager for North & Central England, and Iwan Parry was successful in becoming Regional Manager for Wales & Marches. In addition, Ewan McIntosh will head up the Company’s increasingly successful Landscaping Team.

Ewan is a highly motivated and dedicated professional with over 20 years’ experience in the forestry, landscaping, and utility service industries and a Professional Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters. Ewan has a wide range of experience in Landscaping having joined the Company in 1996 as a Senior Contracts Manager, with a remit that included estimating, site clearance, earth works, soft landscaping, fencing, and hard landscaping. Ewan has a strong focus on Assurance and supporting staff which will enable him to continue to grow an already strong and progressive landscaping team.

On the forestry side, David Conway has over twenty years’ experience of working in forestry. Undertaking his training with the National Trust, he has run his own forestry business and has been with Tilhill since 2000. David was recently made an Area Manager when the Forestry Team restructured and has now progressed further to become Regional Manager for North & Central England.

Based in Llandovery, Iwan Parry is a multi-award winning, experienced, forester of over 25 years’, and has managed a diverse forestry portfolio across Wales, from upland conifer plantations to lowland woodlands and new planting schemes for a wide range of client and management objectives. Iwan is also a Chartered Forester and currently Chairman of the ICF Wales Regional Committee. He is happy and able to communicate fully in both English and Welsh, an attribute that fits perfectly with his new role as Regional Manager for the whole of Wales & Marches.

Gavin Adkins, Managing Director Tilhill said of these recent appointments: “I am delighted that thanks to Tilhill’s ethos of promoting from within, we have once again been able to recruit from our own pool of talented staff.

“Our ability to do this starts right at the beginning of a manager’s career with Tilhill, and particularly if they have been successful in being appointed onto our Graduate Scheme, whereby we undertake a two year programme of training and development.

“I very much wish Ewan, David, and Iwan all the very best in their new roles and welcome their contributions to further strengthen an already highly motivated Senior Manager Team at Tilhill.”
