Tilhill has been enhancing the UK landscape since 1948 through environmentally sustainable and professional management across every aspect of the business. We are therefore delighted to announce the appointment of landscaping contracting professional Phil Ridley as Landscaping Contracts Manager to assist with the continued growth of Tilhill’s landscaping business.
Phil is very familiar with Tilhill having originally worked for the Company from 2007-2013 as a general operative. He worked his way up to become a Landscaping Team Leader and then Landscaping Site Supervisor. Most notably, Phil was the Contracts Manager responsible for the landscaping and grounds maintenance of two hundred Kent County Council sites, among other contracts such as works for Formula 1, St Bart’s Hospital in London, Highways Agency sites and Benenden Hospital.
In his absence from the Company, Phil continued to enhance his skill set and successfully assisted in managing a wide range of landscaping contracts spanning a number of hard and soft landscaping disciplines including the creation of wildflower meadows.
As a hardworking, highly motivated Landscaping Contracts Manager, Phil has now returned to Tilhill in order to assist with developing and growing Tilhill’s Landscaping business with a particular focus across southern England.
Phil Ridley said: “I am looking forward to working on a large variety of different projects utilising my different skill sets.”
Phil will be responsible for managing the delivery of high-quality landscaping, site clearance, environmental mitigation, fencing and associated maintenance operations working closely with Tilhill’s new and existing clients.

“Originally Phil started ‘on the tools‘ as part of the South East England operations team back in 2007. This very practical introduction to landscaping and contracting is very evident today as he joins us as Contracts Manager.
