Sustainable Forestry Skills Training Programme Launches in Wales

Mae Tilhill, prif gwmni rheoli coedwigoedd, cynaeafu coed a thirlunio’r DU, a Foresight Sustainable Forestry Company Plc, cwmni buddsoddi cyfalaf naturiol rhestredig cyntaf y DU, yn falch o lansio Rhaglen Hyfforddiant Sgiliau Coedwigaeth Gynaliadwy Foresight, sy’n cynnig cyfle cyffrous i ddarpar ymgeiswyr yn Ne Cymru. 

Gan weithio mewn partneriaeth â Choleg Cambria Llysfasi i gyflwyno’r rhaglen, bydd pobl leol yn Ne Cymru’n cael tair sesiwn hyfforddi wythnosol wedi’u hariannu’n llawn ym mis Awst, Medi a Hydref a fydd yn cynnwys gweithgareddau sy’n ymwneud â choedwigaeth fel plannu coed, PA1 a PA6, beiciau cwad, sgiliau llif gadwyn sylfaenol, hyfforddiant Cymorth Cyntaf a llawer mwy. 

Dros y 70 mlynedd a mwy diwethaf, mae Tilhill wedi plannu dros 1 biliwn o goed ac, fel cwmni preifat, mae ganddo’r nifer fwyaf o reolwyr sydd â chymwysterau proffesiynol, sy’n arbenigo mewn creu a rheoli coetiroedd a chynaeafu coed. Caiff mentor o Tilhill ei neilltuo i ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus i roi cyngor ar ddatblygiad eu gyrfa ym maes coedwigaeth.

Does dim angen hyfforddiant, profiad na chymwysterau blaenorol er mwyn gwneud cais. Rydyn ni’n chwilio am ymgeiswyr yn Ne Cymru sy’n llawn cymhelliant, yn frwdfrydig, yn ddibynadwy ac yn gallu addasu. Byddai hyn yn berffaith ar gyfer unrhyw un mewn swyddi ym maes amaethyddiaeth, ffermio neu gontractwyr neu unrhyw un sydd am ddechrau gyrfa yn lleol yn y sector coedwigaeth.”

Mae Foresight Sustainable Forestry Company Plc yn buddsoddi mewn cynlluniau coedwigaeth a choedwigo yn y DU ac mae’n canolbwyntio’n bennaf ar gynyddu’r cyflenwad pren cynaliadwy yn y DU.  Mae ei agwedd tuag at goedwigaeth gynaliadwy yn cyd-fynd yn agos â phump o Nodau Datblygu Cynaliadwy y Cenhedloedd Unedig ac mae’n cwmpasu gwarchod yr amgylchedd naturiol, gwella lefelau bioamrywiaeth, gwneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol at ddal a storio carbon, a chefnogi cymunedau gwledig.  Mae ei gynlluniau coedwigaeth yng Nghymru, yr Alban a Lloegr yn chwarae rhan bwysig yn y brwydrau yn erbyn newid yn yr hinsawdd ac yn erbyn colli bioamrywiaeth.

Sustainable Forestry Skills Training Programme Launches in Wales

Tilhill, the UK’s leading forest management, timber harvesting and landscaping company, and Foresight Sustainable Forestry Company Plc, the UK’s first listed natural capital investment company, are proud to be launching the Foresight Sustainable Forestry Skills Training Programme, an exciting opportunity for potential candidates based in South Wales. 

Working in partnership with Coleg Cambria Llysfasi to deliver the programme, local people in South Wales will receive fully-funded three-weekly training sessions in August, September and October which will include forestry-related activities such as tree planting, PA1 and PA6, Quad bike, Basic Chainsaw skills, First Aid training and much more. 

Over the last 70+ years, Tilhill has planted more than 1 billion trees and, as a private company, has the greatest number of professionally qualified managers, specialising in woodland creation and management and timber harvesting. Successful candidates will be assigned a Tilhill mentor to advise on the development of their forestry career.

This would be perfect for anyone within agriculture, farming or contractor-based roles or anyone who wants to start a career locally within the forestry sector.”
