GMHSF update

Guidance on Managing Health & Safety in Forestry (GMHSF) has undergone a major review and is available for download from the FISA website https://http://www.ukfisa.com/safety-information/safety- library/health-and-welfare.html.

• The core guidance informs all those working in the timber supply chain and their stakeholders, by clearly setting out your roles and responsibilities in individual documents for all involved including workers. At the heart of the 2019 revision is the recognition of the requirement for competence in all roles, from landowner/agent, Forest Works Manager, Contractor (inc. hauliers and supporting trades), Sub-contractor and Workers. Each one sets out in practical terms what is required to deliver worksite operations in a way that prevents injury and ill health.
