The UK Forest Market Report launches on 25 November at 10.00AM.
The annual report, produced by Tilhill and John Clegg & Co, provides an in-depth study of the UK commercial forestry and woodland investment market, from the perspective of both buyers and sellers. It has been produced since 1998 and is considered to be the most comprehensive publicly available record of forestry transactions in the UK.
This year the report is set to reveal that it has been an ‘astonishing year’ for forestry, with a review of this year’s figures forming part of The UK Forest Market Report 2020: The Climate for Woodlands launch event which, for the first time, will take place as an online webinar. The report also carries the thoughts of Sir William Worsley, Forestry Commission Chair who will speak at the launch event.
Sir William boasts an impressive background as the Government’s National Tree Champion, former president of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) and former Chairman of the National Forest Company. As an owner of a managed woodland himself, Sir William will be talking about the importance of woodland creation and inspiring current and potential woodland owners.
Ece Ozdemiroglu of eftec will present the latest developments in the defining of a natural capital balance sheet and the move towards standardisation. A crucial step as we move towards monetising these public benefits.
On the 25th November at 10am find out:
Q. What we mean by ‘astonishing’ in terms of forestry investment in 2020?
