Rob Coltman BSc (Hons), Assistant Forest Manager
Rob has worked with the South East England team since the summer of 2018. He joined the office as part of Tilhill’s graduate development programme following graduation from the National School of Forestry with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Forestry. Since working with Tilhill, he has planned and managed a diverse range of forestry and landscaping projects. His speciality subject is ecology, and he holds a Great Crested Newt survey licence. He has a great passion for positive land management centred around high-quality silvicultural practice. Rob received a prize in a Confor competition for his essay on ‘How forestry and wood processing can help deliver a Green Brexit and a more sustainable society in the UK’ and won a BSW inter-organisation Dragons Den competition by presenting a convincing business proposal to company directors.
Rob previously worked in education as a Forest School practitioner and is glad to be continuing to work amongst trees within a strong team. His hobbies include mountain biking, running, wild swimming and wandering around natural places with a plant I.D. guide.
